Section Magna Grecia of AIAPP (Italian Association of Landscape Architecture) promotes "100Mila Giardini di Sicilia" ("100Thousand Gardens of Sicily" a series of initiatives in Sicily, for the revival of the culture of garden and landscape, the economical, touristic and social benefits they produce. AIAPP landscape designers consult with organizations and companies a range of activities with the aim of informing, investigating, identifying, supporting and developing the quality of public and private green areas.
The program is led by the Sicilian AIAPP members, Tindara Crisafulli and Roberta Andaloro and by Paolo Villa, National President of AIAPP. The first meeting of "100Thousand Gardens of Sicily" is the conference to be held in Catania in October 2009 together with a series of cultural events and exhibitions.
